This week's menu we feature a New York native who now is a singer-songwriter & producer based in Los Angeles, California, Molly Moore! Molly Moore is a songstress who’s music speaks to a 5G generation. With straight-shooting lyrics, soulful timbre, & a psychedelically spun style, Molly effortlessly transcends eras. Through her raw thoughts & genuine anthems, Molly has embraced the changes in her life. From the unexpected passing of her father & the turbulent ending of a five-year relationship; Molly’s music serves as a vehicle for finding one's voice and discovering the light within. Born in the Bronx to a musician as a father and a healer as a mother, Moore was raised in a eclectic household in Hastings on Hudson, NY. Inspired by strong female artists like Aretha Franklin, Alanis Morissette, Beyonce & Gwen Stefani, Moore leans into her powerful vocal prowess & introspective lyricism alongside lush musical landscapes. At 18, Moore graduated from high school 6 months early to focus on recording music. The next year, she moved to Los Angeles & began pursuing a career as a songwriter. Molly started releasing music independently, receiving strong support from Spotify, iTunes & tastemaker blogs which caused the first single to go viral & chart in many territories. While carving out a career as a solo artist, Moore is also ½ of the progressive pop duo Cosmos & Creature with EMAN8 (Brandyn Burnette). As a young female in the music industry, Moore has bigger dreams than just her budding music career. Now at the forefront of the independent music scene, Molly hopes to be a strong voice for female entrepreneurs. Whether it’s for herself, for another artist, or for her community, Molly is making a difference. Cousin Corey talks with her on this week's Blue Plate Special |

This week's menu we feature Nashville, Tennessee's singer-songwriter Notelle! Notelle is an independent artist working as a featured vocalist and topliner since 2014. Collaborating with DJs and producers around the globe, she has accumulated over 40+ million streams, as both a writer and artist. She has spent the past two years developing her version of “dark industrial pop”. After being recognized by The Nashville Scene and Tuned Up Music as a “Nashville Artist To Watch”, called a “genuine, revelatory breath of fresh air” by No Country For New Nashville, selected as local radio stations’ 102.9 The Buzz and Lightning 100’s “Artist of the Week”, and twice been featured on local news Channel 4 WSMV “Today In Nashville", Notelle has quickly made a name for herself in the noisy, over-saturated, Nashville pop world. Highly influenced by exploratory acts like Nine Inch Nails, Muse, Massive Attack and Mutemath, Notelle further establishes her own brand of genre-breaking “nightmare pop” with her recent “Nyctophiliac” EP. Landing a feature on Spotify’s “All New Rock”, Notelle’s project is unlike anything coming out of Nashville’s pop scene. Her fearless desire to push stylistic boundaries and avoid standard structure is producing a stranger yet more unique body of work from this "must watch" new artist. Cousin Corey talks with her on this week's Blue Plate Special. |

This week's menu we feature a singer-songwriter from Grand Rapids, Michigan DL Rossi! Originally from Sterling Heights, Rossi headed down to Nashville for three years, where his brother Nolan has a recording studio. His life changed drastically in his late 20s. Now recovered, Rossi survived testicular cancer—and then went through a divorce. Those events left an indelible impact on his life, causing him to have several important epiphanies. “I realized how much I needed to count on myself and be content within myself. But the side-effect of that has meant it’s really hard to find someone I want to be with for the rest of my life. And I’ve found other people feel the same way towards me. The dating scene looks very different when you’re in your 30s. “You stop carrying the weight of past lives,” sings DL Rossi. Cousin Corey dives in to get his 4-1-1 on this week's Blue Plate Special. |
