The first annual Shoals Fest was held in McFarland Park this past Saturday featuring one day of music between two stages by Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Sheryl Crow, Mavis Staples, Amanda Shires , Rob Aldridge Music, The Prescriptions, Caleb Elliott, The Kernal, the Rogers High School Marching Buccaneers, Steve Trash and DJ Jay Leavitt.
The Festival organized by Jason Isbell along with his manager Traci Thomas and Outback Presents was designed to give back to the community where his music career started. This year's inaugural lineup included favorite musicians close to Jason each with a impressive history of music of their own. Approximately 5000 people attended this year's event as part of a single day festival.
