The Muscle Shoals Songwriters Festival was a two day event from October 25th to 26th with a spotlight on writers in the Muscle Shoals area. The event was hosted by the Muscle Shoals Songwriters Association. The Muscle Shoals Songwriters Association’s goal is to bring new platforms to Muscle Shoals, Alabama for future singers, songwriters, musicians and music business professionals. Established in 2019, the MSSA values the importance of music creators and music lovers. The Muscle Shoals Songwriters Festival is the MSSA’s first ever project.

Memphofest is a two-day festival held in Shelby Farms Park, one of the largest urban parks in America featuring multiple stages of live music and a variety of food and concessions. This year's headliners featured The Raconteurs on Saturday night and Brandi Carlile on Sunday. Other major acts included Wu-Tang Clan, Margo Price, DJ Paul of 3 6 Mafia, The Revivalists, Lovelytheband, Valerie June, and many others.

The first annual Shoals Fest was held in McFarland Park this past Saturday featuring one day of music between two stages by Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Sheryl Crow, Mavis Staples, Amanda Shires , Rob Aldridge Music, The Prescriptions, Caleb Elliott, The Kernal, the Rogers High School Marching Buccaneers, Steve Trash and DJ Jay Leavitt.
The Festival organized by Jason Isbell along with his manager Traci Thomas and Outback Presents was designed to give back to the community where his music career started. This year's inaugural lineup included favorite musicians close to Jason each with a impressive history of music of their own. Approximately 5000 people attended this year's event as part of a single day festival.
