WFMC Jams - Todays Music Tomorrows Future

Past Live Shows

What you're gonna hear on Music City on the Mountain: interviews and live performances of the best of Music City...Christian and Inspirational Country songwriters along with hit songwriters performing...recorded live from the stage of the legendary Jim Oliver's Smokehouse on Monteagle mountain!  Hosted by Randy Finchum.

In the first half hour, we get our God and Country on with this week's show as we celebrate our July 4th Independence Day with songs about America! Starting with a previous Smokehouse performance from John J. Kennedy and then a Dave Pahinish-penned jewell by Toby Keith...leading us into a live song from David Watson....followed by a tribute to the American bride from JT Cooper from the new Warrior Rounds - Volume 1 project....then on down the homestretch with hit songwriter Aaron Barker, Smokehouse fav Adam James and back to back tunes by our favorite brother Paul J. Cicero.

The second half hour we have Monteagle's own Seth Layne kickin' things off live from the Jim Oliver's Smokehouse stage...then a former Christian Country #1 song from James Gee...followed by Marc Elliot from the duo Runaway Home in a rare solo performance...then we spin a song from former Travis Tritt band member Arlo Gilliam...leading us into Effron White performing a legendary Nashville-written tune...and we close things out with Jason Adams paying tribute to a close friend and a powerful song from recent Smokehouse performer Lois Berg

Travis Bigwood and The Lonesome Doves are an Americana Folk band from Knoxville, TN. Their songs focus on storytelling.
"I started writing songs because I wanted to tell a story. I wanted to share the anthology of my experiences growing up in East Tennessee and feel that connection that only music can bring. I try to capture the sound of the hardships and all the goodness that echoes through these mountains."
"It’s the sound of a young man attempting to make peace with his past and coming to terms with the changes of his present — the realization that while he might not be where he was or even where he wants, that good things happen. There’s both celebration and solace in such a moment of clarity, and that Bigwood spins it into sonic gold is evidence of an artistic soul wise beyond the years of its mortal shell." - Steve Wildsmith of The Daily Times (Maryville, TN)
