About David Havens:

"I am originally from The Mississippi Delta where I was raised on Elvis
music and biscuits as big as your fist. After spending 18 of the last
22 years at our sister station KIX96 this 40 year radio journey has
brought me to mornings on Q107.
I am proud to be a broadcaster as now more than anytime in modern
history, responsibility of radio broadcasters serving the public is
paramount. On behalf of all the Big River Broadcasting stations I would
like to thank you for choosing us as your information and entertainment
radio stations. With you, the listener, and me together every morning,
we can grab life by the ball bearings and seize the moment to make it
the best day possible for us and those around us!"

Tune in each Saturday at 7pm central on WFMC Jams for a new broadcast week of New Music Food Truck!

This week's show features 408 with music from The Great Leslie, Skuff Micksun, Capital Theatre, Braveweather, Gravity Machine, Robert DeLong, Hippo Campus, Paris Youth Foundation, Damon Albarn, Fuel, Geographer & Pure XTC!

408This week's menu features Orlando, Florida-based alt/pop punk quartet 408. 408 brings some vibes reminiscent of the late 90s, but is sure to keep it fresh. Five EP releases into their discography, the band is finding their home blending the familiar pop punk sound of yesteryear with today and tomorrow's alternative, hip-hop, and even EDM influences. 408 recently wrapped up sessions for the unreleased "Sherbet" EP with platinum award-winning producer/engineer Andrew Wade, which resulted in an eclectic, if not wonderfully eccentric collection of hits and hooks guaranteed to be earworms in 2021.  We talk with 408 about their music on this week's Blue Plate Special.
