WFMC Jams

WFMC Jams is an online internet radio station committed to bringing you original music as well as your favorite classics from a variety of local artists in the area. The station was founded on June 24, 2012 right after the Third Annual Fam Jam music festival in Manchester, TN. The idea came up as a way to continue to give back to the local and regional songwriters and performers in the area year round by promoting their music.

Kirstie Kraus is a feisty powerhouse that lays it all out each time she takes the stage. Her sound is a blend of modern country-pop with a mix of blues, a little funk and 80's rock tones. Some of Kirstie’s biggest influences are LeAnn Rimes, Elton John, Phil Collins, Amy Grant, Gloria Estefan, Shania Twain, and Faith Hill.

Kirstie moved to Nashville in October 2017 and jumped right into the creation of her first record after touring the Midwest with her previous rockin’ country band Thirsty Jones. Kirstie has teamed up with EMC2 Records (Nashville, TN) and Sound Kitchen (Franklin, TN) for a full length record release in 2020.

The anticipated 'Yes You Can' album which was partly funded by Kickstarter backers from her native state of Wisconsin is eleven tracks in length and enriched with some of Nashville's finest players including Rich Redmond (Drums, Jason Aldean), Ford Thurston (Guitar, Randy Houser), and Lee Turner (Organ, Darius Rucker). The record was mastered by Pete Lyman (Chris Stapleton, Dierks Bentley, Keith Urban).

Kirstie’s two singles "Delusional" and "Gotta Do" have been featured on the Top Ten Tuesday playlist for Next Women of Country, selected to air on Times Up Radio, climbed to #1 on She Wolf Radio and was picked up on country radio in the US and UK.

When in Nashville one can find Kirstie showcasing at the local hot spots, in a writing room, demoing songs, or booking her next tour. When on the road you can spot Kraus driving a 2000 Dutchman RV.

Born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, this singer/songwriter grew up listening to Merle Haggard, George Jones, Hank Williams and Marty Robbins. In the early eighties, Spiker formed a country group called L-Passo. The band toured throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio and Virginia. During this time, Spiker also performed at various jamborees, including Jamboree USA. While there he worked with Loretta Lynn, Bill Anderson and Marty Robbins. In the early nineties, Spiker decided to pursue songwriting full-time and relocated to a suburb of Nashville. He hooked up with fellow songwriters, including Keith Norris and Karen Pendley. He also has songs recorded by Barry Lee White among others. In 2001, Spiker entered the studio to record his debut album. The album, My Future Ain't What It Used To Be, was released in July 2002.

IN THE IN BETWEEN OUT NOW!

“In The In Between” is a collection of songs written over 9 years (2011-2019) that have, for one reason or another, stood the test of time. These songs have followed us from Dubois, WY where we met in late 2010, to the Studio I & II apartment complex behind the Colonial Liquor Store on 8th Ave in Nashville. These songs followed us while we fell in and out of love with one another, and these songs were the common thread that sewed up our hearts and held us together. These songs took on a whole new life, energy, and purpose after 2 years on the road with our guitarist, Luke Marshall.

These songs have been sung in dive bars, theaters, living rooms, and everywhere in between, all over the country. They’ve been kept alive by our fans that have requested them throughout the years, somehow knowing every word even though they had never been recorded.

These songs gave us the courage to make this record. Our fans gave us the reason to and we can’t wait for the world to hear it.

This one’s for you,

Steevie & Jon & Luke

"In the House" at the Grinder House is broadcast live on WFMC Jams every Friday from 6-8pm central.
