Bio:
I’m a singer songwriter making my way in Nashville with Christian pop music! I just wrapped up my second episode of TLC’s “My 600lb life” where they aired several of my original songs. Now that my new life has begun I am excited to venture out into the Nashville music scene.

HIGHWAY NATIVES is an Americana roots-rock 5-piece celebrating a low country revival with influences from their heroes such as Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Eagles, Tom Petty, and Little Feat while admiring the songwriting from contemporaries like Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson, and The Wild Feathers. Highway Natives bring a sound tinged with rich soulful harmonies, artful full-bodied stylings on lead guitar, and a rhythm section that’s groovy timekeeping is nestled tightly underneath singable, authentic, and raw lyrics. Currently, the Highway Natives are gearing up to release their self-titled debut EP on April 9th 2021, with the two singles "Bad News" and "Better Man" out now.

This week's episode features Ben Bostick. Listen to "Live From the Bird's Nest" on Thursdays at 8pm Central on WFMC Jams by clicking the "Listen Live" at the top of the page.
"The Georgia Songbirds - Live From the Bird's Nest" is a podcast aimed at local artists and songwriters, giving them a place to share music, stories and experiences as they chase their dream.
Ben Bostick is a South Carolina-raised, Georgia-based outsider country singer-songwriter and one man band. His influences range from Johnny Cash and Bruce Springsteen to Otis Redding and Tommy Emmanuel. After leaving home for a decade of rambling and toiling at odd jobs, Bostick blew into California and decided to try his hand busking on the Santa Monica Pier. To the great surprise of the former ranch hand and roofer, Bostick found that he could make a living playing music. Ben saved his busking money and used it to record his debut EP, My Country, in 2016. No Depression says, “he comes on like an unholy alliance of George Jones and Merle Haggard.” My Country was nominated for an Independent Music Award in the Roots/Country category. |
