Saturday April 9th, The Barn at Conners Island celebrated it's first year anniversary as Jimmy Wayne took the stage to entertain North Alabama fans.  For those that know Jimmy, he is no stranger to Country Music with an impressive 200+ performances at the Grand Ole Opry alone.  Known for his hits including “Stay Gone,” “Paper Angels,” “I Love You This Much” and “Do You Believe Me Now,” Jimmy's performance at The Barn at Conners Island made for a perfect evening.

The Barn at Conners Island is a very spacious music venue permitting both indoor and outdoor seating.   With it's own unique character depicting a days when life was at a much slower pace and more simple.  A glance around the venue you will see antiques, old signs, as well as vintage gas pumps that give the place the feel of your typical country store commonly found in many places years ago around parts of the South.  Many hard hours of thought, design, and work can be observed in the recreation of this beautiful venue.

The music does not stop here.  Future shows are in the works throughout the year and the next show will be on June 25th featuring Illinois native Mo Pitney and Bobby Tomberlin.  For more details and tickets you can visit the eventbrite page as well as The Barn at Conners Island for all information and updates related to the events and venue.

Friday, April 29th, the music streaming platform Trubify teamed up with NashHouse Southern Spoon & SaloonNashTenTvCenterStage MagazinePLA Media, and WFMC Jams to present Olivia's Benefit.  The event started on Trubify at 2pm central and ran throughout the day with a variety of artists performing on the new music streaming platform.  The event also featured live Performances in Nashville at the NashHouse which started at 6pm featuring Trinity WisemanOlivia Farabaugh, and JADA.  The event was held in an effort to promote the Transparent Music Project founded by Pennsylvania Songwriter native Olivia Farabaugh.

Olivia was diagnosed with Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS) in November of 2020, a multi-system and multi-symptomatic disease.  While one in four people can have the gene responsible for CIRS, the disease is often hard to diagnose, and furthermore testing can be expensive as home testing is also required.  In Olivia's case, it took 4 years to be diagnosed with CIRS due to exposure from black mold.

Through the Transparent Music Project, Olivia seeks to provide awareness to CIRS through her personal experience and through her music with the hopes to raise enough money to kick start the CIRS Support Fund.  This fund would help those who don't have the money to be able to get the proper testing and treatment for CIRS.

Olivia's music journey has included appearing as a contestant on The Voice, winner of the Best Solo Artist in 2019 and 2020 from the Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame, and was nominated for Best Female Country Artist, Songwriter of the Year, and Song of the Year ("Body Will Break") at the 2021 Central Pennsylvania Music Awards.

Currently living in Nashville, Olivia is working on taking songs from the social media aspect and songs from her own personal life, and put them together to create the Transparent Music Project which is expected to be available soon to those who donate.  The official campaign for Olivia's project can be found on Indiegogo for those interested in contributing.
